Qair Polska, the Polish arm of French renewable energy producer Qair, has secured a 12-year corporate power purchase agreement (cPPA) to supply nearly 20 GWh of renewable energy annually to Safran's production facilities in Poland.
The energy will be sourced from Qair's wind farm in Stawiszyn, Wielkopolska province, and its solar PV farm in Stoszowice, Lower Silesia province. Over the duration of the contract, the total energy supplied will exceed 233 GWh.
This agreement will enable Safran's three Polish plants to meet 85% of their energy needs with renewables, aligning with the company's decarbonization goals and providing stable energy prices to mitigate market volatility.
Krzysztof Wojtysiak, CEO of Qair Polska, highlighted that the partnership reflects the company's long-term strategy to evolve into a green utility, delivering power from its own renewable sources.
