CDWE Completes First Installation Campaign for 1GW Hai Long Offshore Wind Project in Taiwan

has successfully concluded the first installation campaign for the 1GW Hai Long wind project, located off the coast of . This milestone marks the completion of all jacket foundations and the offshore substation (OSS) installation.

The installation work was carried out using CDWE's heavy lift , Green Jade, and included the installation of 111 pin piles, 37 jacket foundations, two OSS jacket foundations, and one OSS topside. The project, located approximately 45km to 70km off the coast of Changhua in the Taiwan Strait, is being developed in two phases: Hai Long 2 and Hai Long 3.

The Hai Long 2A wind farm will contribute 300MW of grid-connected capacity, while the Hai Long 2B and 3 arrays were allocated 744MW in Taiwan's first offshore wind auction in 2018. The offshore work was challenging, with water depths ranging between 35 and 55 meters and distances from the coast between 45km and 55km.
