Deutsche Bahn AG (DB) has entered into a power storage agreement with German renewable energy company Iqony to utilize a significant portion of the capacity of a 50-MW/200-MWh battery system. The system will be constructed at the Duisburg-Walsum power plant site, operated by Steag Iqony Group, and is expected to be commissioned in May 2026.
