Alcazar Energy Partners has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC) and the New and Renewable Energy Authority (NREA) to develop a 2 GW onshore wind project in Egypt. The project supports Egypt's 2030 Vision for sustainable energy growth.
Expected to generate enough electricity to power more than 1.3 million homes, the wind farm will also create substantial employment opportunities, with up to 12,500 workers engaged during construction and 1,170 full-time positions for operational support.
“This partnership with EETC and NREA highlights our mutual commitment to supporting Egypt's energy transition through large-scale, sustainable infrastructure projects,” said Daniel Calderon, co-founder of Alcazar Energy Partners.
