France has allocated 755.22 MW of onshore wind capacity across 48 projects in its most recent tender, falling short of the 925 MW initially on offer.
The winning projects were awarded at an average price of EUR 87.92 per MWh, slightly higher than the EUR 87.80/MWh secured in the previous round.
A total of 67 bids were submitted, collectively targeting over 1,043 MW. The largest project in the auction is a proposed 39.9 MW facility in Normandie.
Among the winners, German energy company RWE secured two projects totaling 41.3 MW: the 11.8-MW Morgat and the 29.5-MW Pressoirs sites.
Additionally, the French ministry announced the results of its sixth tender for ground-mounted solar (PV) installations, allocating 948.3 MWp across 120 projects.
