Vestas, the global turbine manufacturer, has announced the layoff of 90 employees in Denmark as part of a broader business review. Of the affected positions, 60 are based in Aarhus.
In a statement, the company acknowledged the difficulty of the decision but emphasized the need to align its workforce with the company's priorities. “It's always hard to let go of valued colleagues, but we must ensure that our organisation reflects our priorities,” Vestas stated.
Despite the layoffs, Vestas affirmed its commitment to Denmark, stating that the company would maintain a strong presence with over 6,700 employees across its Danish sites.
