Energiekontor has secured a fixed energy price tender for two solar park projects in the Occitania region of south-east France.
The French Energy Regulatory Commission (CRE) awarded the contracts for the Rignac (EKF Parc Solaire Dongay) and Lachapelle-Auzac (EKF Parc Solaire Le Batut) solar schemes, with capacities of approximately 17MWp and 24MWp, respectively.
The electricity generated by the projects will be sold under a 20-year tariff agreement, which is indexed annually for inflation, ensuring a stable revenue stream over the long term.
Peter Szabo, chief executive of Energiekontor, expressed his satisfaction with the outcome: “We congratulate our French team on this success. After receiving building permits for the two solar park projects earlier this year, we are now also pleased to have been awarded the contracts for these projects in this year's tender process.” He added, “These milestones show that our long, hard work in the tough French market is beginning to bear fruit. If everything goes as expected, we will be able to achieve the first two financial closes in France as early as the first quarter of 2025.”
The projects mark a significant step forward for Energiekontor in the French market as the company continues to expand its renewable energy portfolio.
