Equitix has obtained €271 million in financing from Banco Santander to refinance, construct, and develop a portfolio of wind projects hybridized with solar and battery storage systems.
This marks the first financing of its kind in Spain, combining three technologies—wind, solar, and battery storage—into a single hybrid scheme, according to law firm Ashurst, which advised on the transaction.
The portfolio has an aggregate capacity of over 326MW and is expected to contribute significantly to CO2 emissions reduction.
The financing will support the continued development of these renewable energy projects in Spain.
