has concluded testing of its SK6000 crane, which it describes as the world's most powerful land-based crane, tailored for the demands of modern wind construction. Designed to lift up to 3,000 tonnes to heights reaching 220 meters with its jib, the SK6000 addresses the increasing scale of offshore wind components required for stronger wind flow harnessing.

Testing, conducted over the past three months at Mammoet's Westdorpe facility in the , included comprehensive functional, structural, and stability assessments, which confirmed the SK6000's performance and adherence to strict safety standards. The crane endured a maximum load moment of 520,000 tonne-metres, surpassing the capacity of its predecessor, the SK350.

The SK6000 will now be prepped for transport to its first project in early 2025, where it will support large-scale energy projects with modular construction techniques, enhancing efficiency during the assembly phases.
