Siemens Gamesa Completes First Locally Assembled 14MW Turbine in Taiwan Following Taichung Plant Expansion

has completed its first locally assembled 14MW turbine nacelle in , following the recent expansion of its Taichung facility.

The expanded production hub will supply nacelles for the 1GW Hai Long Wind Farm, furthering Taiwan's renewable energy goals.

The Taichung facility has tripled both in size and workforce, accommodating the complex assembly of nacelles—each comprising over 10,000 parts.

The project also integrates components from new Taiwanese suppliers, bolstering local supply chain capabilities in the offshore wind sector.

Siemens Gamesa's increased manufacturing capacity in Taiwan aims to support the region's offshore wind development and strengthens local industrial participation in the global renewable energy industry.
