Indian renewable energy provider Greenzo Energy Pvt Ltd announced it has secured a contract to develop a 120-MW solar park project in Nepal, valued at INR 5 billion (USD 59.3 million/EUR 55 million).
This engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) deal pushes Greenzo's total order book to INR 19 billion.
Greenzo Energy will oversee all aspects of the project, which will be executed in phases and is scheduled for completion next year.
The project will consist of 12 clusters, each with a capacity of 10 MW, connected to the Nepal Electricity Authority's (NEA) grid through a newly constructed high-tension transmission line.
The development is expected to create over 500 jobs and aligns with Nepal's clean energy goals. Greenzo emphasized the project's importance, stating it will support Nepal's renewable energy objectives and enhance cross-border energy partnerships.
