PNE Sells 59.4 MW Papenrode Wind Farm to Qualitas Energy Deutschland

, the German renewables developer, has sold the 59.4 MW Papenrode wind farm to Deutschland, marking a key step in advancing 's wind energy sector. Located in Lower Saxony's Groß Twülpstedt and Bahrdorf municipalities, the project is a repowering effort, replacing 15 older turbines with nine more efficient ones, boosting output fivefold. The wind farm is slated to begin operations in the second quarter of 2025.

PNE's CEO, , expressed satisfaction with the handover, highlighting the project's fit with PNE's expertise in high-quality wind farm development. Proceeds from the sale will support PNE's strategy for growth and operational expansion.

Roland Stanze, PNE's COO, praised the collaborative approach with local landowners and authorities, underscoring the importance of community cooperation.

Qualitas Energy Deutschland's Head of Investments, Johannes Overbeck, emphasized the company's commitment to Germany's energy transition. Focused on sustainable and economically viable projects, Qualitas Energy aims to bring the Papenrode wind farm to successful operation, supporting its renewable expansion and sustainable energy goals in Germany.
