-based developer and producer Sunly has commenced connection installations and other preparatory activities ahead of construction for three projects in Latvia, boasting a combined capacity of 225 MW.

These projects are designed as hybrid parks, integrating solar and wind energy along with a battery energy storage system (BESS), as stated in a press release.

The portfolio includes a 54-MW site near Matisi village in Valmiera, a 90-MW facility in Dagda Parish in Kraslava Municipality, and an 81-MW solar farm located near the village of Barkava in the Madona region.

Once operational, these projects are expected to generate sufficient clean electricity to meet the annual power needs of over 118,000 homes.

This initiative aligns with Sunly's long-term strategy in the Baltic region and Poland, where the company has secured EUR 300 million (USD 326.4 million) in from Rivage Investment and Copenhagen Partners, with backing from Norway's largest pension fund, Kommunal Landspensjonskasse.
