Jera Nex has partnered with Catalyst Energy Partners (CEP) to develop, build, own, and operate clean energy power plants across the United States. The collaboration aims to accelerate the deployment of utility-scale renewable energy projects by leveraging existing grid infrastructure alongside conventional power plants.
CEP, which boasts a robust portfolio of development-stage clean energy assets, will work with Jera Nex, which will provide financial backing, strategic oversight, and operational expertise. This partnership positions them to meet the growing demand for renewable energy in rapidly expanding U.S. markets.
“At JERA Nex, our objective is to scale renewables to meet the increasing global demand for clean energy,” said Richard Scott, Vice President of Development & Construction, Onshore at Jera Nex. “We are thrilled to partner with Catalyst Energy Partners to expand our footprint in the United States and capitalize on their unique approach to repurposing conventional power facilities.”
Founded by Matt Cheney, CEO, and Steve Malnight, President, CEP aims to facilitate a swift transition to clean energy while minimizing the impact on existing infrastructure. Cheney emphasized the strategic alignment between the two companies, stating, “The partnership with JERA Nex will bring together the capital and know-how to make our combined vision a reality.”
