Bruc to Invest Over €1 Billion in Solar Projects in Andalusia

Spanish renewables company announced plans to invest €1.03 billion (USD 1.12 billion) over the next three years to expand its farm operations in Andalusia.

This initiative is part of a broader investment strategy for the region, which totals €2.26 billion and is set to be implemented by 2028.

Bruc has already allocated €1.23 billion for the development and construction of solar photovoltaic plants in Andalusia.

The new investment is expected to increase the company's solar portfolio in the region to 3,112 MW across various provinces, including , Huelva, Cadiz, and .

Currently, Bruc operates 13 solar farms with a total capacity of 795 MW in Seville, Huelva, and Cadiz. The company is actively constructing 17 additional plants with a combined capacity of 850 MW in these provinces, while another 33 projects totaling 1,467 MW are in development, including solar-plus-storage hybrids.

Bruc aims to have all these projects operational by 2028, with an anticipated annual output of 3.02 TWh, enough to supply power to approximately 25% of households in Andalusia.
