Seaway7 Secures Cable Installation Contract for Orsted’s Hornsea 3 Wind Project

has awarded the contract for the transport and installation of inter-array cables at the 2,955-MW Hornsea 3 wind farm in the UK's sector.

Under this contract, Seaway7 will manage the transportation and installation of 192 66-kV cables spanning approximately 500 kilometers, with offshore operations expected to begin in 2026.

Seaway7 CEO Stuart Fitzgerald commented, “With this award, we look forward to continuing our long-standing relationship with Orsted. The Hornsea 3 project marks our seventh offshore wind project together, following our work on inter-array cables for both Hornsea 1 and Hornsea 2.”

This new project further reinforces Seaway7's position in the UK, Europe's largest offshore wind market, and adds to the company's project backlog.
