Polish energy trader Respect Energy has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with PV Group to secure nearly 63 GWh of renewable electricity annually for its customer base across Poland.
The Warsaw-based trader announced that the contract will run for over a decade, concluding at the end of 2035.
The clean energy will be supplied from 11 solar parks, with a combined capacity of 57.3 MW, which are planned for construction in Poland's West Pomeranian, Lubusz, and Wielkopolskie Voivodeships. Construction will be financed through debt support from Poland's Bank Pekao.
The agreement is part of PV Group's shift toward becoming an independent power producer (IPP), while Respect Energy continues to grow its green energy portfolio through long-term contracts.
Earlier this year, the company entered into a similar PPA with Eurowatt Group to procure power from the 31.5-MW Potegowo wind farm in Poland.
