's largest affordable wind farm, developed by State Power Investment Corporation Limited (), has officially achieved grid-connected power generation at full capacity.

Located 28 kilometers off the coast of Rushan City in Shandong Province, the 450 MW project features 53 wind turbines, delivering a total installed capacity of 1.5 million kilowatts.

SPIC implemented several cost-saving measures to make the project affordable, with electricity prices comparable to coal-fired power and no need for subsidies.

Key technical advancements included the use of 66 kV submarine cables for reduced cable losses and a modular offshore booster station design, which saved 190 hectares of sea space and cut construction costs by 20%.

The wind farm is expected to generate 4.5 billion kWh of renewable electricity annually, saving approximately 1.4 million tons of standard coal and reducing ash and carbon emissions by an estimated 4.25 million tons each year.
