EDF Energies Nouvelles Reparties (EDF ENR), a subsidiary of EDF Renewables, has partnered with French lender Credit Agricole to provide financing for large-scale solar projects at tertiary and industrial sites.
The collaboration aims to fund photovoltaic (PV) installations on office buildings, warehouses, shops, and car parks, Credit Agricole announced on Tuesday.
The partnership seeks to raise over EUR 200 million by the end of 2027 to support PV projects. French consultancy Finergreen, the exclusive financial advisor to EDF ENR, stated that the joint venture is targeting over 200 MWp of operational solar projects by 2028.
The initial phase of the collaboration involves 18 rooftop and shade solar plants in France, either under construction or already operational, with a total capacity of 31 MW.
These projects will receive EUR 25 million in bank financing. EDF ENR will manage the construction, maintenance, and operation of the solar systems.
