Danish renewables developer Eurowind Energy A/S has announced plans to add almost 1 GW of power generation capacity over the next two years as part of its strategy to strengthen its presence in the European market.
The company outlined its intentions on Tuesday, indicating plans to construct up to 50 new power plants in key markets, including Germany, Romania, and Poland, with additional projects slated for Southern Europe.
Currently engaged in the construction of more than 10 projects across Europe, Eurowind aims to leverage a variety of technologies for its upcoming initiatives, frequently combining multiple technologies within hybrid power plants.
These technologies will include wind turbine generation, solar power, battery energy storage, electrolysis, and biogas capacity.
Eurowind has also established strategic collaborations with selected suppliers to support its proposed projects, anticipating that each new energy park will be operational within 12 to 18 months.
