renewable energy developer has obtained the Green Lane Certificate from the Philippine Board of Investments (BOI) for its BuhaWind Energy projects, three floating offshore wind farms with a combined capacity of 4 GW.

The certification is designed to expedite the permitting process, allowing Copenhagen Energy to accelerate the development of these projects.

The BuhaWind projects, located off the coast of the Philippines, consist of Northern Luzon (2 GW), Northern Mindoro (1 GW), and East Panay (1 GW), and are being co-developed with PetroGreen Energy Corp. An official award ceremony for the Green Lane Certificate is set for later this month.

Meanwhile, the Philippine Department of Energy (DOE) has raised concerns over delays in 105 renewable energy projects, with many facing potential termination due to challenges in securing grid connections and land rights.
