The plan involves expanding the country's capacity in , wind, , and energy, building on the progress already made across these sectors.

A key priority is reducing reliance on imported , with the ministry aiming to lower its contribution to electricity production to 18.9% by 2025. Simultaneously, the share of domestic energy sources is targeted to reach 59.4%, up from 42.7% in 2023.

Türkiye's strategy also focuses on improving energy security and efficiency. This includes efforts to reduce transmission and distribution losses in the electricity network and boost natural gas storage capacity. These efforts are part of a broader plan to diversify Türkiye's energy sources, enhance domestic energy production, and move towards a more sustainable energy future.
