Wärtsilä Secures Contract for 150-MW Battery Energy Storage System in South Australia

Finnish technology group Wärtsilä Corp has announced that it has secured a contract to supply a 150-MW/300-MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) to Canadian clean energy platform Amp Energy in South Australia. This order marks the first stage of a large-scale renewable energy hub that will integrate solar power, energy storage, and green ammonia production.
