Sustainable Energy One (SEO), a joint venture between Portuguese renewables company Greenvolt – Energias Renovaveis SA and Madrid-based Green Mind Ventures, has successfully secured EUR 100 million (USD 109 million) in financing to advance wind and solar projects in Spain, as reported by Europa Press.
The green financing, led by Banco Santander CIB, will allow SEO to accelerate the construction of a portfolio of projects totaling approximately 145 MW.
Currently, the joint venture is developing nine solar photovoltaic projects in the Murcia region, which collectively have a capacity of 80.77 MW, along with three wind projects in Granada and Asturias, totaling 64.5 MW.
Greenvolt and Green Mind Ventures established their partnership in 2022 with the goal of developing and selling small and medium-sized solar projects within the Spanish market.
