Alcazar Energy Partners has signed an agreement with RP Global to secure the rights for the development, construction, and operation of a 200 MW onshore wind power project, located east of Belgrade, Serbia. The project, named Celzijus 1, represents a capital investment of approximately US$300 million and is poised to become one of the largest wind farms in the Western Balkans.
In addition to the wind project, the deal includes a 768 MW pipeline of wind and solar initiatives in Serbia, with the acquisition expected to close by the end of this year. This transaction marks a significant milestone for Alcazar Energy Partners, as it works towards its goal of building US$600 million in renewable energy sites in Serbia, ultimately aiming to create the largest renewable energy platform in the region, targeting a total of $1.2 billion in assets.
Once fully operational, these projects are expected to generate over 1,700 GWh of clean energy annually, supporting Europe's transition to a greener and more sustainable energy future.
