Elektrum Lietuva Begins Construction on 176 MW Solar Parks in Lithuania

, a subsidiary of the Latvian state-owned utility , has commenced construction on three parks in , totaling 176 MW of combined capacity.

Located in the coastal Klaipeda District Municipality, the facilities will cover an area of 250 hectares. Two of the solar parks will connect to the ESO distribution network, while the third will be linked to the grid of the Lithuanian electricity transmission system operator, Litgrid.

The three solar parks are expected to be operational by September 2025 at the latest.

Latvenergo Group is the largest power producer in the Baltic region, with a total electricity generation of 3,531 GWh, of which approximately 73% comes from renewable sources. The group is currently developing additional solar and wind projects, with a total capacity of 504 MW.
