CS Wind Offshore has completed the fabrication of the final monopile for Orsted's 913MW Borkum Riffgrund 3 offshore wind farm, set to be Germany's largest offshore wind array.
The company manufactured 40 XXL WTG monopile foundations for the project, located 70km off the German coast.
Scheduled to begin operations in 2025, Borkum Riffgrund 3 will supply clean energy to 900,000 households.
“Borkum Riffgrund 3 represents another significant achievement in our long-term business relationship with Orsted,” said CS Wind Offshore.
The installation of the wind farm's 83 foundations began last year, with work carried out by Jan De Nul.
