Spanish integrated solar PV platform Enerside Energy SA has successfully sold two 2.5-megawatt (MW) solar projects in Brazil to Brookfield Renewable Partners LP.
The acquisition was made by IVI Energia, Brookfield's unit specializing in distributed generation (DG), for a total deal value of BRL 20.8 million (USD 3.76 million / EUR 3.43 million), as reported by Enerside on Tuesday.
The sale includes the operational Rota do Sol I project, which was sold for approximately EUR 1.3 million (USD 1.43 million) per megawatt, and the ready-to-build Rota do Sol II project, which was acquired for around EUR 100,000 per MW. The Rota do Sol I solar plant is situated in Mossoro, a city in Brazil's Rio Grande do Norte state.
Enerside originated and developed both projects and provided construction services for Rota do Sol I, which has been operational since 2023, according to the company's website.
