Barcelona-based green energy start-up SolarMente announced its acquisition of local solar systems installer Eltex, marking a significant expansion in its range of smart energy solutions.
Eltex is recognized as a profitable company with offices in Barcelona, Madrid, Valencia, and Mallorca, employing 80 staff members.
While SolarMente did not disclose the financial terms of the acquisition, it anticipates concluding the year with monthly revenues reaching EUR 1.2 million (USD 1.31 million), positioning the company for profitability and a total workforce of 105 employees.
Founded in 2020 by Wouter Draijer and Victor Gardrinier, SolarMente offers subscription-based integrated energy management services that encompass solar panel installation, energy storage systems, virtual battery solutions, electric vehicle (EV) charging, and aerothermal systems.
The company has received backing from notable investors, including Silicon Valley accelerator Y Combinator and Hollywood actor and environmentalist Leonardo DiCaprio, who invested earlier this year.
