Italian renewable energy producer and retailer Eni Plenitude SpA has commenced commercial operations at its new 13-MW wind farm in the Almarza area of Soria, Spain, boosting its installed renewable capacity in the country to 440 MW.
The Numancia wind park is equipped with three Vestas V136 turbines and is expected to generate approximately 31 GWh of electricity annually—enough to meet the power needs of over 9,500 households.
The project spans 10 hectares and is connected to an electrical substation in Garray via a 17-km overhead line. The new facility adds Castilla y León to the list of autonomous regions where Plenitude operates renewable energy plants, joining regions like Galicia, La Rioja, Catalonia, Castile-La Mancha, and Murcia.
Plenitude, a subsidiary of Italian oil major Eni SpA, also has around 1 GW of renewable projects under construction across Spain.
