RWE Begins Construction of 25MW Solar Project in Poland

RWE has commenced the construction of a 25MW project in , marking a key development in the company's portfolio.

The project, known as the Borek solar scheme, consists of three arrays with capacities of 10MW, 10MW, and 4MW.

Katja Wunschel, CEO of Europe & , highlighted the importance of solar power in Poland's energy transition, stating, “Solar power plays an increasing key role in the Polish energy transition. Borek solar project is the next milestone in our journey to leverage Poland's sunny conditions with great sites for solar energy.”

She also emphasized RWE's long-standing presence in the Polish renewables market, where the company has been operating for over 15 years.

RWE Renewables Poland currently operates wind farms with a total installed capacity of 541MW and solar plants with 54MW of capacity. The company also has over 100MW of solar capacity under construction in the Polish market, further reinforcing its commitment to the country's clean energy goals.
