Spanish power producer Planea Energia has announced the commissioning of a 141.1-MW solar photovoltaic complex in Belinchon, central Spain.
The project, completed in just eight months, comprises three solar farms with a total of 239,280 panels installed across 235.58 hectares (582 acres).
Now fully operational, the complex is expected to generate approximately 296 GWh of electricity annually.
The project was financed by Paris-based asset manager Infranity, while Planea Energia managed all aspects of development, including design, permitting, construction, and ongoing operations.
Planea Energia continues to expand its portfolio, operating solar farms and mini-hydro power plants in Spain, and pursuing projects in the United States and France.
