Adani, an Indian renewables developer, has reached an agreement with Google to supply clean energy from a solar-wind hybrid project in Khavda, Gujarat. The facility is expected to begin commercial operations in the third quarter of 2025.
Adani has experience in large-scale wind, solar, hybrid, and energy storage projects, positioning the company to provide renewable energy solutions to commercial and industrial (C&I) clients.
This agreement aligns with efforts to meet energy requirements and reduce carbon emissions in various sectors.
The collaboration aims to support Google’s objective of achieving 24/7 carbon-free energy for its operations and cloud services in India.
Additionally, Adani plans to focus more on the merchant and C&I segments to assist in the decarbonization of industries.
