Norwegian wind services company has partnered with to supply its second self-propelled wind turbine installation jackup vessel design. The vessel will be equipped with the latest regenerative power system technology, allowing generated power to be fed back into the vessel's system.

The NG-20000X-HF vessels are among the largest wind installation jackups in the industry and can install foundations up to 3000 tonnes and wind turbines with tip heights over 300m in water depths up to 70m. The vessel's large carrying capacity reduces the number of trips required per development, thereby improving project economics and reducing carbon emissions per installed megawatt.

Nils van Nood, Managing Director of GustoMSC, expressed his appreciation for Havfram's decision to partner with them again, saying, “We are excited to collaborate with their skilled team and join in their enthusiasm to overcome a crucial hurdle in advancing clean energy production.”

, Chief Executive of Havfram Wind AS, praised the collaboration, saying, “Our joint efforts have resulted in a top-of-the-line vessel offering modernity, efficiency, high capacity, and low emissions, providing the best assurance to the market for their coming wind farm construction projects.”

This partnership represents another step forward in the global effort to expand clean energy production and combat climate change. By utilizing advanced technology and collaborating with skilled partners, companies like Havfram and NOV are driving innovation and helping to create a more sustainable future.
