Cadeler has signed firm contracts with Equinor and Polenergia to provide installation vessel services for the 1,440-MW Baltyk 2 and 3 offshore wind projects in the Polish Baltic Sea. The total value of these contracts is estimated to range between €120 million and €144 million, with installation work set to commence in 2027.
The projects, located approximately 22 km and 37 km off the port of Łeba, will involve the installation of 100 offshore wind turbines. Cadeler plans to deploy both an O-Class and a P-Class vessel, offering a dual-vessel setup to meet the capacity requirements of the project.
Cadeler CEO Mikkel Gleerup expressed excitement over this milestone, stating, “We are excited to announce a firm contract for yet another significant milestone project in Poland. This marks our third major project in the Polish market, showcasing the strong business potential in that market, driven by increasing demand for renewable energy. We are proud to support our partners in accelerating the transition to sustainable energy, with these projects ultimately benefiting more than two million households.”
The installation work is expected to contribute significantly to Poland's renewable energy capacity, solidifying the partnership between Cadeler, Equinor, and Polenergia.
