Solar installer and operator GoldenPeaks Capital Holding Ltd, in collaboration with China National Building Material Group Corporation (CNBM), has committed to jointly developing 1 gigawatt (GW) of photovoltaic (PV) projects annually in Europe over the coming years.
This agreement was reached during a high-level meeting in Munich, marking an expansion of the companies' existing five-year partnership.
Under the plan, GoldenPeaks will be responsible for the project development, while Triumph Science & Technology Group, a subsidiary of CNBM, will serve as the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractor.
The partnership aims to leverage Triumph's domestic expertise alongside GoldenPeaks' project development capabilities, which currently include 800 MW of installed renewable energy capacity and a project pipeline of approximately 1.4 GW.
According to the companies, construction for the first 1 GW of projects is slated to begin next year, with an additional 2.5 GW already under development for 2026 and 2027.
“This partnership underscores our shared vision of advancing clean energy on a global scale,” said Yuxian Zhou, chairman of CNBM. For GoldenPeaks, this expanded collaboration presents opportunities to strengthen its presence in Europe, particularly in countries such as Germany, Italy, and Greece, as the company has primarily focused on Eastern Europe, including Poland and Hungary.
