Vestas has announced three new orders totaling 113MW for the supply of wind turbines across projects in Japan, Costa Rica, and Italy.
The first order is from Tohoku Electric Power Co for the 34MW Shiroishi Kosugo wind farm in Japan. Vestas will supply eight V117-4.2MW turbines, along with a 20-year Active Output Management (AOM) 5000 service agreement.
Delivery is planned for the first quarter of 2026, with commissioning in the third quarter of the same year. Toko Electrical Construction Co will serve as the EPC contractor for the project.
The second deal involves the supply of eight V117-4.3MW turbines for a 34MW wind farm in Costa Rica. While the customer remains undisclosed, the agreement includes a five-year AOM 5000 service contract. Delivery and commissioning are expected in 2025.
The final order is from Italian developer Libeccio for the 45MW Vento de Vino 2 wind farm. Vestas will supply seven V162-6.2MW turbines, operating in 6.4MW power mode, with an 18-year AOM 5000 service agreement. Delivery is slated for the third quarter of 2025, with commissioning scheduled for the first quarter of 2026.
