TotalEnergies and ENEOS Launch 2.5-MWp Rooftop Solar Plant for Indonesian Footwear Manufacturer

The joint venture between French energy group TotalEnergies SE and Japan's ENEOS Holdings Inc has inaugurated a 2.5-MWp plant for Indonesian footwear manufacturer PT Bintang Indokarya Gemilang.

Located at the manufacturer's facilities producing Adidas brand shoes, the solar installation comprises over 4,500 (PV) modules.

TotalEnergies ENEOS announced on Tuesday that it is responsible for , installation, and ongoing operation of the PV arrays, while PT Bintang Indokarya Gemilang will purchase the generated electricity under a 25-year agreement.

The solar plant is projected to generate approximately 3,740 MWh of electricity annually, contributing to a reduction in the shoemaker's carbon footprint by roughly 3,030 tonnes per year.

PT Bintang Indokarya Gemilang is a subsidiary of PT Panarub Industry, a leading manufacturer of football shoes in , with its production facilities situated in Brebes, Central Java province.
