German renewables developer and wind power producer PNE AG has announced the renaming of its subsidiary WKN GmbH, abandoning the WKN brand entirely.
Effective immediately, WKN GmbH will now operate under the name PNE Erneuerbare Energien GmbH. The company will continue to fulfill all existing contracts and projects, as confirmed by WKN managing director Jan Messer.
Per Hornung Pedersen, CEO of PNE AG, expressed that the rebranding aims to “create an even clearer presence in the market” and to leverage synergies to foster innovative solutions for a climate-neutral future.
This announcement follows the recent news that Heiko Wuttke will succeed Per Hornung Pedersen as PNE's CEO on January 13, 2025, under a three-year contract set to last until January 31, 2028.
