PENTAGAB Lda and KGAL Gmbh & Co KG have launched an 81.91-MWp solar photovoltaic park in Penamacor, Portugal, as announced by the local government.
Named Cabeca Vermelho, the facility is expected to generate approximately 181.3 GWh of clean electricity annually, sufficient to meet the energy needs of over 60,000 local families.
The project was developed by P2K Renovaveis Lda, a joint venture formed by PENTAGAB and KGAL for the specific purpose of constructing solar parks and their associated infrastructure. The initiative required an investment of €80 million (approximately $89.3 million).
Antonio Luís Beites Soares, president of the Penamacor Town Council, expressed optimism about future developments, stating that similar projects will be implemented in Penamacor and neighboring municipalities, contributing to the local economy.
