Real estate firm Boultbee Brooks and low-carbon infrastructure developer Infraland have formed a new partnership to advance renewable energy production under the name Infrabee. With five years of collaboration on renewable projects, the two companies have formalized their efforts to provide green energy solutions across the UK and Europe.
Infrabee plans to develop a series of solar and battery storage sites, with 25 projects currently in the pipeline in the UK. Of these, five are expected to connect to the grid within the next 12 months, and the remainder are set to be energized over the next three years.
In addition to its UK projects, Infrabee aims to expand its network of European joint-venture partners, building on early successes through its partnership with local firm Perdix in the Netherlands.
Nick Barber, director of Infrabee, emphasized the urgency of the global energy transition, stating, “Infrabee is a global partnership between organisations which believes in delivering renewable energy solutions, while also leading in the development of low carbon infrastructure. Renewable energy is not something we can leave until tomorrow. We must invest in and develop the infrastructure we need today – so that together we can secure the future of our planet – before it really is too late.”
The new partnership positions Infrabee to play a significant role in the shift towards sustainable energy, contributing to the broader global effort to reduce reliance on fossil fuels and mitigate climate change.
