Engie and Carrefour Spain Sign 10-Year Renewable Energy Agreement

and have signed a (PPA) that will significantly enhance Carrefour's renewable energy consumption. This agreement is set to cover almost 30% of Carrefour's energy needs through a combination of and wind assets.

The PPA, spanning a duration of 10 years, will supply Carrefour with approximately 180 GWh of renewable energy annually. This energy will be sourced from two Engie wind farms and two Engie solar farms. The move is a strategic effort by Carrefour to achieve its ambitious target of sourcing 100% of its electricity from renewable sources by 2030.

In a statement, Carrefour highlighted that this agreement is a critical part of its 2026 strategic plan, which outlines the company's commitment to sustainability and reducing its carbon footprint.
