Banco de Sabadell Invests EUR 20 Million in SEAT Solar Project

Banco de Sabadell SA announced on Friday its commitment to provide EUR 20 million (USD 21.7 million) in financing for self-consumption systems at SEAT's automotive facilities in Catalonia.

In addition to the financial support, Sabadell's renewables-focused equity investment division, Sinia Renovables, has acquired a 49% stake in the solar project, which involves installing 26.46 MWp of solar arrays.

The remaining 51% of the project is held by Conecta2Energia, a Spanish independent energy trader and project leader. 2022 SA will oversee the construction of the solar systems.

This initiative is part of SEAT's SEAT al Sol 2 project, which will cover three sites in Catalonia. Once operational, the solar panels are expected to supply approximately 11% of SEAT's total power consumption, according to .
