Dublin-based professional services firm Accenture announced on Friday the acquisition of BOSLAN, a Spanish company specializing in AI-powered management services for large-scale and energy transition-focused infrastructure projects, including wind, solar, hydrogen, smart grids, and electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure.
Founded in 2000 and headquartered in Bilbao, BOSLAN offers a range of services such as feasibility studies, project planning, cost and quality control, contract negotiation and management, design reviews, equipment purchase assistance, and fieldwork supervision.
The company serves clients in renewable energy, oil and gas, infrastructure, data centers, and utilities industries, including notable names like Acciona, Naturgy, Repsol, Cepsa, and Siemens Energy.
The integration will see BOSLAN's team of over 1,000 engineers and project managers join Accenture's infrastructure and capital projects practice within its digital engineering and manufacturing service, Industry X. “Together, we will bring the power of data and AI to engineering to help our energy, industrial, and public and private infrastructure clients execute their energy transition infrastructure projects more efficiently, securely, and predictably,” said Mercedes Oblanca, Iberia market unit lead at Accenture.
