Encavis AG, a German operator of wind and solar parks, has finalized financing for a 260-MW solar project in Bartow, Germany, after securing EUR 145 million (USD 156.9 million) for its construction.
The financing was arranged by Encavis Asset Management AG and will be provided by German lender Commerzbank AG (ETR: CBK), according to a press statement released by Encavis.
The Bartow project, located approximately 150 kilometers north of Berlin, has most of its output contracted by the chemicals group LyondellBasell.
Construction on the initial phase of the project began in March 2024, with the entire project scheduled for completion in the second half of 2025.
Encavis describes this scheme as the second-largest facility of its kind in Germany. It is part of the portfolio of the Encavis Infrastructure Fund IV (EIF IV).
