Vestas has received an order for 53 V236-15.0MW turbines, totaling 795MW, for the OranjeWind project off the coast of the Netherlands. This project is a collaboration between RWE and TotalEnergies.
The order encompasses the supply, delivery, and commissioning of the turbines for the wind farm, which is located 53km off the Dutch coast in the North Sea. Turbine installation is scheduled to commence in 2027. Following completion, Vestas will maintain the assets under a five-year service agreement, succeeded by a long-term operational support deal.
Nils de Baar, Vestas President for Northern and Central Europe, stated, “OranjeWind sets a high bar for technological innovations and sustainability, and we are delighted to deliver our solutions, including our offshore flagship wind turbine, for this project in the Netherlands.” He added that the Vestas team looks forward to collaborating with the OranjeWind project team on this ambitious wind farm in the North Sea.
