Renewable power plants operator Voltalia SA reported improved revenues for the second quarter and first half of 2024, confirming its full-year capacity and earnings guidance.
For the first six months of 2024, the Paris-based company posted revenues of EUR 248.9 million (USD 269.9 million), marking a 28% year-on-year increase. This growth was primarily driven by the company's energy sales business, where turnover rose by 26% to EUR 168.7 million, accounting for 68% of total revenue. The increase was attributed to higher power output.
Revenues from third-party clients in the Services division increased by 32% to EUR 80.2 million. However, service revenue from internal activity declined by 42% to EUR 121.9 million, down from a record high the previous year.
Excluding internal operations, revenue from development, construction, and equipment procurement activities rose by 38% to EUR 68 million, while revenues from operation and maintenance (O&M) deals increased by 7% to EUR 12.1 million.
Voltalia reiterated its target of 3.3 GW of capacity in operation and under construction for 2024 and projected earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) of EUR 255 million.
As of the end of June, the company had 3.06 GW of capacity in operation and under construction, with an installed fleet of wind, solar, hydro, and biomass energy plants totaling 2.45 GW, up from 1.7 GW a year earlier.
