German specialist hep global GmbH has announced the completion of its 9.8-MWp Perendale solar park in Mocksville, . The facility has been connected to the power grid on a trial basis, with output set to be sold to local cooperative Energy United.

The company, which operates under the hep solar brand, is now preparing to commence construction on two additional solar projects in North Carolina. The upcoming projects include a 13.3-MWp solar park named Dill and a 2.5-MWp facility called McDowell.

Construction for both projects is scheduled to start in September. Hep solar anticipates that Dill will be completed in approximately 15 months, while McDowell is expected to be finished in around 11 months.

All three solar parks—Perendale, Dill, and McDowell—are situated in North Carolina's Piedmont region, which is known for its average of eight hours of sunshine per day, with the sun shining for more than seven hours daily for about two-thirds of the year.
