and have both agreed to procure electricity from ACEN 's 720-MW park in New South Wales, according to a joint statement released on Friday.

Asahi Beverages, a subsidiary of Japan's Asahi Group Holdings, will receive 30,000 MWh annually to support its beer brewing and soft drink production operations. This volume, equivalent to the energy demand of nearly 4,400 homes, aligns with Asahi's goal to source 100% of its purchased electricity from renewables or offset by renewables by 2025.

BaptistCare has entered into two separate agreements to receive about 15,000 MWh of wind and solar power annually for the next 10 years.

These contracts will reduce the organization's carbon footprint in New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory by 70%, aiding its goal of achieving net zero emissions by 2050. One of BaptistCare's contracts is specifically tied to the New England solar park.

Both companies will begin receiving power from the New England solar park in 2025. The park, which is the largest of its kind in New South Wales, is expected to generate electricity equivalent to the annual demand of 300,000 homes.

The first 400-MW phase of the project was officially opened in March last year, with the second phase currently under construction.
