Greek renewable independent power producer (IPP) Jasper Wind SA has secured EUR 63 million (USD 68.9 million) in debt financing for the construction of three wind farms with a combined capacity of 41 MW.
The loan agreement was signed with Germany's Deutsche Bank AG (ETR: DBK) and Greece-based Attica Bank, the Greek lender announced on Wednesday.
The funds will support a portfolio of three wind projects in Laconia, located in the Peloponnese region of southern Greece, which are currently under construction. The building works began last year, and the plants are expected to become operational in September.
The total cost of the portfolio is EUR 80 million, which Jasper Wind is funding through long-term loan facilities and its own capital resources.
Attica Bank served as the lead arranger for the funding transaction, while Deutsche Bank acted as the structuring bank.
Founded in 1998, Jasper Wind has approximately 200 MW of installed capacity, including the three wind farms in Laconia. The company is also developing a pipeline of over 1,000 MW of projects in Greece, Bulgaria, and Romania.
